The Beijing Winter Olympics has raised the curtain on Feb 4, 2022, as thousands of athletes from across the globe gather in China for the first international multi-sport event to be held as scheduled since the COVID-19 pandemic.
CapitalBiotech, as a member of the national team to fight against the epidemic during the Beijing Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics, assumed the responsibility for the detection of Covid-19 for high officials & royal family members from all over the world. Our anti-epidemic "Light Cavalry" - the COVID-19 Mobile Laboratory, is on the frontier to support the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
Being equipped with SARS-CoV-2 Integrated Microfluidic Chip Analysis System, which LoD is 150 copies/ml, developed by CapitalBiotech, the "Light Cavalry" can complete the whole experiment within 45 min. The SARS-CoV-2 Integrated Microfluidic Chip Analysis System was awarded The First Prize and "2021 CAETS Communication Award - Engineering Achievement" issued by CAETS (Council of International Academy of Engineering) in 2021.
The SARS-CoV-2 Integrated microfluidic platform also played an important role in the prevention and control of the CCTV Spring Festival Gala in 2021 and 2022, as well as in major events such as the 100-day countdown to the opening of the 2022 Winter Olympics. The operator only needs to add the sample preservation solution to the chip, and start the machine after sealing the chip. The hands-on time is less than 1 minute. The whole process of biological reaction (including nucleic acid extraction, nucleic acid purification, amplification reaction, nucleic acid detection, result interpretation, etc.) is integrated into a microfluidic chip with an overall airtight and internal partition, which is completed by an automatic nucleic acid analyzer. Therefore, it can work in any environment without the need for professional partitioning Laboratories.
